Upload your film

THIS SECTION WILL BE LIVE ONCE THE COMPETITION OPENS - PLEASE LET US KNOW IF ANY OF THE LINKS ARE NOT WORKING.

Before you upload your film, please use this checklist to ensure you have completed everything:

  • All participants have completed the 48hr participant registration form and agreed to the terms and conditions

  • All actors have completed the Volunteer Cast Release Form and have agreed to the terms and conditions

  • Anyone who took stills for your film has completed the Stills Release

  • Anyone who created music or sound design for your film has completed the Music Release

  • Anyone who provided a location for you to film at has completed the Location Release - please note this needs to be the OWNER of the property, not a tenant

  • Complete and upload your cast and crew lists - templates are in your team’s Google Drive folder - you can edit these as you need to, just make sure all cast and crew are listed with their full name and the role they are credited for

  • Complete your certification statement - this is where you tell us if you used royalty or copyright free music and sounds from the internet, and where you confirm that no AI was used in any part of the process of making your short film

  • Upload your stills to your Google Drive folder - at least 3 production stills, at least 3 behind-the-scenes stills, and a team photo - these will be used for ongoing promotion of the event and awards night (these should preferably be 300 dpi jpegs) You absolutely can upload more than the minimum number of stills if you wish to do so.

  • Upload your film to your Google Drive folder (specs for this are in the rules here)

  • Complete and submit your completed Tech Specs form - this incorporates a handy checklist to make sure that you don’t miss anything. It asks for a logline and all the technical details of your film. It also asks you to confirm permissions for Apple Box Studio to use your film and stills as promotional materials for future events, and finally it asks for fun facts, words to describe your experience, and what challenges you faced. There is a section for feedback, however we will send out separate feedback forms to all participants after the event as well. We really do welcome feedback as it helps us to improve for next time.

All paperwork above needs to be completed, and your finished film needs to be uploaded to your team’s Google Drive folder, by 6pm on Sunday 12 July 2026 to be eligible for entry into the competition. Links to your team’s Google Drive folder will be emailed to the Producer of each team on Friday 10 July 2026 by approximately 7pm.
